The stadium is Bryant-Denny, opened in 1929 and it has a capacity of 12.000 visitors, but it was modified several times, last time in 2010, and now, it has a capacity of 100.000 visitors.

The first song of this university was "Yea Alabama", written in 1926 by Lundy Sykes (the editor of the campus newspaper). He composed this song because of a contest by the Rammer Jammer, and it was composed to follow the first Rose Bowl victory. Today’s opening line of this song is ‘’ Yea Alabama, Crimson Tide’’, but the actual opening line is ‘’ Yea, Alabama! Drown 'em Tide’’.

This university has a strong historical and cultural impact in the United States. Some of the most known references are from the movie Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) and from movie Crimson Tide (Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman).
