Kansas Jayhawks’ Power, Cheick Diallo Saya He Is Committed To The Team
On Tuesday evening, NCAA 6-foot-9 power forward Cheick Diallo Saya rested all rumors that he is not comfortable playing for the Kansas Jayhawks by stating that he is fully committed to the team.
"I felt like Kansas was the best place for me," he said. "I can earn playing time right away. I played against Joel Embiid in high school and watched his development. I need to work on a lot of things and feel coach [Bill] Self can help my game. On my visit, the campus was great and the people were nice. I could see myself there."
This should not come as a surprise to many given the fact that, the coach of Kansas Jayhawks has been known as a closer especially in the late signing period. In addition to that, he has made a name for himself thanks to his high-low offense as well as his perfect track record when it comes to developing the team’s big men.
There have been lots of buzz surrounding Diallo decision on where he will be going and for good reason. Diallo is a two-time MVP at the post season during McDonald’s All-American Game as well as the Jordan Brand Classic. In addition to that, he has had a very fruitful career while playing at Our Savior New America.
With Diallo confirmed for the upcoming season, Kansas Jayhawks has added a huge physical presence which has a 7-4 wingspan. In addition to that their defense has added a determined player who is known for not giving up on plays. To add onto that, Diallo is an ultra-athletic forward who has the ability easily rebound as well as block shots.
